HOUSTON, May 23 /PRNewswire/ -- WoodFuel.com and EcoStrat Inc. have announced
today that they have signed an Agreement enabling them to work in a collaborative
effort to provide disposal solutions and find new markets for their customers'
wood by-products. These performance-based projects are designed to help their
clients reduce the costs associated with wood debris disposal by handling the
material in an environmentally friendly and productive manner.
WoodFuel.com is an innovative, business-to-business, e-commerce company that
buys and sells wood material online. The wood material is primarily used as
an alternative energy resource as mentioned in Chapter Six of President Bush's
recently announced National Energy Policy.
Scott Mactier, a Partner in WoodFuel.com, stated ``We believe this alliance
between EcoStrat and WoodFuel.com will have a very positive long term impact
on both businesses' growth and new opportunity development. The timing of this
alliance couldn't be better. We strongly believe that the environmentally friendly
utilization of wood material as an alternative energy source will have an impact
on decreasing the United States' dependence on imported fossil fuels.''
EcoStrat, a performance-based company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, has
an unparalled track record of reducing costs for Fortune 1000 companies across
Canada and the US. In particular, EcoStrat focuses on creating gain- sharing
programs for manufacturers that have significant disposal costs related to the
generation of wood debris. Bruce Greenwood, EcoStrat Vice President, said, ``The
alliance that we've created with WoodFuel.com today represents a significant
milestone for both companies. We will now work together with the common goal
of reducing our customers' costs and finding the most attractive end markets
for the wood by-products generated by our clients. WoodFuel.com and EcoStrat
are committed to both reducing the amount of wood material that is currently
being sent to landfills and converting that material into productive and environmentally
friendly products, including energy.''
Mactier summarized, ``We believe these performance-based cost reduction programs
that we are creating with EcoStrat can be successfully implemented for a broad
range of wood-intensive industries including Home Building, Furniture Manufacturing,
Manufactured Housing, Truss Manufacturing, Railroad Tie Manufacturing, Vegetation
Management and other industries that struggle with the disposal of large quantities
of wood by-products.''
