HOUSTON, June 26 /PRNewswire/ -- WoodFuel.com announced today that it has entered into purchase agreements with three woodfuel suppliers in Texas. It is estimated that these agreements will provide an additional 200,000 tons of woodfuel capacity per year for WoodFuel.com.

``These agreements are significant for our company by adding both diversity and capacity to our existing supply sources, ensuring that WoodFuel.com will meet the growing demand for its woodfuel products,'' said Scott Mactier, WoodFuel.com partner. ``This additional supply will add an estimated 40% to WoodFuel.com's woodfuel supply stream.''

In April of this year, WoodFuel.com announced it had entered into a woodfuel supply agreement with NOVUS Wood Group. That agreement alone will provide more than 500,000 tons of woodfuel product per year. When accounting for all existing sources of supply under contract, it is estimated that WoodFuel.com has an annual woodfuel supply capacity of 750,000 tons.

Mactier continued to state that, ``woodfuel is also characterized as alternative energy (measured in mmbtus) or biomass. One ton of high quality, low moisture woodfuel equates to approximately 14 mmbtus. The energy content of WoodFuel.com's current annual woodfuel capacity exceeds 10 million mmbtus.''

We believe this growth in demand will continue based on two factors: 1) the increase in the price of fossil fuels; and 2) new legislation, including, the implementation of the Texas legislative -- Senate Bill 7 and similar bills in other states which mandate the usage of alternative energy/biomass.
